Background: President Obama made it public that the US uses drone airplanes to assassinate enemies. The White House confirmed that this happened under the Bush administration but were hesitant to say that it is happening under right now during Obama’s presidency.
This is an example of modern day political satire.
1. Examine Jonathan Swift The Gulliver’s Travel and after watching the video, compare and contrast (differences and similarities) Jonathan Swift’s political satire vs. Jon Stewart’s (old vs. new).
2. Also, explain what is the role of political satire (does it serve a purpose)?
