Specific description:
Choose a topic of “constitutional concern” from the following list and describe how the Supreme Court (as well as other courts where applicable) has responded to it:
Rights and Classical Liberalism
Freedom of Religion
Freedom of Association
Freedom of Expression
Your response should go to the “core issue” or “heart of the matter.” Further, how and in what manner are judges fully “active interpreters” of the law? Do you agree with the court’s interpretation? Further, what does this case tell us about rights in Canada.

The purpose of this paper is to show your ability and skill and using and conceptualizing the course material. Your paper should be no more than 5 pages. The only sources required are those to be found in the course: Hogg, Beaudoin and Mendes, and Kelly and Manfredi. You must have a thesis statement and your arguments should be as clear and simple as possible.
