Assignment: analyses of the text. Guide the class through a “close-reading” of the text ( the extant fragments of Heraclitus) by focusing on a particular theme (theme of “change”). Highlight and identify relevant fragments from the text, and explain how focusing on the theme you’ve chosen helps us unlock a deeper dimention of the work in questin. You have to show something really ineresting that is happening in the text which isn’t immediately or necessaily self-evident to the casual reader, but nonetheless essential to critical coprehension and understanding. Prepare at least one question to the class.
