Submit a genogram of their own family and current experience. What did you discover about your family history reflected in your genogram?

Assignment Question

Genogram Students are required to submit a genogram of their own family and current experience. Genograms are visual depictions of the relationships among family members where family members are illustrated with shapes and relationships are illustrated as lines between family members. Lines look different based on what they represent. For example, a solid line means a strong, stable relationship whereas a dotted line means a fractured relationship. Use the diagram below as the legend for your relationship lines. If you would like to add additional lines, you may create your own legend. Clients are always allowed to define their family as they wish. Sometimes they include close friends as family. Other times they include pets as family. Echoing this, you may include/ not include anyone in your family you wish (however you must have at least six people and include three generations). This assignment may be handwritten or hand-drawn, or computer generated.
