In terms of lean implementation, another point that I wanted to bring into your notice explicitly is the use of various tools/models in lean implementation. Any lean project must be complemented with the application of the right tools and techniques of business management such as the six-sigma, the SPC, the balanced scorecard, the employee appraisal and motivation, budgeting, performance measurement, and many more.
In the case studies you have gone through in these weeks, what tools and techniques were being employed by the case companies? How do we know whether these are appropriate. ??
