The brief will have two parts: (a) A written analysis of a case. . The brief must be word-processed, times new roman, 12 point font. (b) An oral presentation and class discussion where classmates and your instructor ask questions.

In order to fully analyze the case, you will need to conduct outside research (e.g., statutes, common law cases, periodicals, treatises, etc.). Accordingly, you must cite all relevant sources and make clear the extent to which outside sources were used. Words or ideas that require citation include, but are not limited to, all hard copy or electronic publications. Full blown citations are not necessary, but must contain sufficient information to identify the source, the author(s) and the date. If youre using the text as a source it is okay to cite a page number.
