BRIEF:
Analysing a Research Question: 50% TMM (individual submission)
The summative assessment requires the student to focus on a particular design or marketing discipline and theme (which will be approved by the lecturer) this will inform and help define a clear research challenge. In response to the challenge, students must apply two research methods (ethnographic approach must be included) to try to find appropriate solutions.

TASK:
From October 2015, large shops in England will be required to charge 5p for their carrier bags. According to the press, the objective of the new charge is to reduce bags use by between 75 and 80 per cent.

Taking from this news, the research challenge is about the use of reusable shopping bags in London: Are Londoners using them? How much? Do they find them practical and handy, compared to the plastic ones? Would they prefer them to the plastic bags, now that these ones will come at a price?
