Read attach. Spend half and hour sharing some of your initial exploration of how a text speaks to you (does it embody a value you agree with? Show an ongoing issue is society or in your life today? Use a narrative style that you want to explore? ).
Consider for this post how your major (Accounting and Marketing major) might intersect with the text–are there elements of marketing in the text? A business model? Psychologists, are there aspects of group or individual psychology that you see in the text? Are there stylistic elements (poetic style, rhetoric?) that you want to explore? Basically, how might some of what you have chosen to study relate to the early American literature texts we have shared together? What unique insights that you have might help others to see the text in a new light?
