PERSUASIVE OUTLINE FOR SPEECH.

THE PRODUCT SPEECH

Please write an outline persuading the audience to buy a GoPro and follow the following guidelines:

You will persuade your audience (the class) to be interested/motivated to purchase a product based on the following criteria.

real (something we can see and touch)
legal
be able to purchase online or in a local store
current retail price- $50-100 US
not anything living, like a pet etc..
not a weapon of any kind
not a drug, alcohol etc
Nothing distasteful or potentially offensive to others
Pursuade the audience to support your product. Anticipate possible opposing responses.
Video editing and video stopping/pausing are NOT allowed.
INSTRUCTIONS

LENGTH – Your presentation will last from two – 1/2 minutes – four minutes. Any longer will reduce your grade.
ORGANIZATION – You will organize your presentation based on Monroes Motivated Sequence. See pp. 233 and 234 in your textbook. Be aware of possible opposing response(s)–reason(s) your audience may not follow the action you are requesting; acknowledge this, but return to the strengths of your proposal and be convincing (be persuasive!)–following many of the strategies presented in Chap. 14 (reread Chap 14). Use all three persuasion appeals effectively: Credibility, Logical, & Emotional. If you only talk about \”your\”product and do not give some fair consideration to other choices that may be available, then your persuasion will not be as convincing.
OUTLINE – You will turn in a complete sentence outline
REFERENCES – You should have at least three – four credible references in your bibliography.
