Which perspective did you agree with more and why(Article i agreed with is attached)? Did the other author (the one whose thesis you did not agree with as much) present views or points that were valid to you? If so, what were some?
1.Is your paper well written and free of grammatical mistakes?
2.Do you relate the reading to other materials we have read, discussions in class, and/or outside knowledge and sources?
3.A good introduction and conclusion.
4.I want to see a thread that connects most of your paper. It can be surprise, disagreement, curiosity, etc. Whatever you feel is a genuine reaction. However, you dont have to say in every paragraph, I was truly in disagreement with this other point . . . .
For your reaction, I want you to write a 2-3 page, double spaced paper, 12 font Times New Roman or Bell MT. You are required to give footnotes and a bibliography if you are a history major/minor who has completed research methods. If not, please use a style of citation you are familiar with, but still provide a bibliography. If you are quoting a specific passage from one of our Moodle readings, simply cite as follows: Wilson Readings, 57. I do want a cover page with your name, the reading that you are basing your reaction on, the class, my name, and the date it is due. Some points will take longer to answer than others, the basic parameters for that are yours. I want a minimum of three outside (that is, not assigned to class) scholarly sources for your paper, of which at least one of them being a book.
How will you be graded on this? Here are 3-4 things I am looking for.
However, you dont have to say in every paragraph, I was truly in disagreement with this other point . . . .
Please note that you do not have to answer the questions I ask above in the order given in your paper. Of course, you can use first person for this exercise but dont forget to write in a collegiate manner.
