LindsayUnit 2 DiscussionDo you agree that more support would actually help communities quit smoking? If you look at wealthier communities, where this IS support, you still find smokers, and even smoke/vape shops popping up. I think you can offer all the support in the world, but whether or not that support stops the issue at hand is solely up to those who partake in the activity or issue – and that really goes for anything that have interventions set in place to stop. It\’s always going to be up to the people or communities involved as to whether they use the support or continue to do what they are doing.For as long as I can remember there have been preventative measures set in place to prevent kids from smoking or doing drugs, D.A.R.E for example. Every student had to sit through the monthly classes. A portion of those kids still grew up to become smokers and drug-abusers. It\’s all up to free-will, unfortunately.
