o If the organization relies on its location, for example a retailer, describe and provide an opinion of the location
o Describe its logistic management (such as inventory management and order processing)
o Recommend any changes or additions to the distribution channel and/or location of the business. Consider the use of multiple channels.
• Discuss the following promotion factors:
o Describe in detail the promotional mix (advertising, public relations, sales promotions, direct marketing, and personal selling) that is currently being used to promote the organization’s product/service
o Explain how the promotional strategy satisfies the organizations’ target market/s and objectives
o Recommend any changes or additions to the organization’s promotional mix.
Action programs – marketing implementation. An action program shows what must be done, who will do it, and how decisions and actions will be coordinated to reach the company’s marketing objectives and satisfy target markets.
• Choose the elements of the marketing mix (product, price, distribution or promotion) that has recommendations that need to be put into action.
• Outline how you will implement those recommendations in terms of:
o What needs to be done (Tasks)
o When will it be done by (Date completed by)
o Who is responsible for doing each task (Responsibility).
Note: It is a good idea to use a table format. You may also want to use Microsoft Project to answer this section.
Provide the marketing plan (described below) in a well-structured report document.
• Marketing control – marketing control involves evaluating the results of marketing strategies and plans and taking action to ensure that objectives are being met.
• Outline how the organization monitors and evaluates the results of their action plan in terms of:
o When the action plan is monitored and evaluated (e.g. monitored weekly and evaluated yearly).
o How they monitor and evaluate the performance of the plan and what they will measure.
o Who is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the action plan?
