The case study is a review of a current homeland security issue and one that affects the US. You will prepare five to seven pages (not including the cover or reference pages) exploring the issue presented. An abstract is not required.
Focus will be on the pros and cons regarding individual rights vs. needs for national security. Information and subjects will include whether this is a violation of personal rights, how it is used to maintain security against terrorism (homegrown & international), and the ramifications if the Patriot Act is dissolved with upcoming expiration date for parts of the policy on June 1, 2015.
