Write a research paper that analyzes the poem Alone by Edger Allan Poe. Essay needs to argue the thesis – ” Edgar Allen Poe used his literary works, to alleviate the stresses of reality. In his works he vented his frustrations and own negativity to illuminate the darker side of existence, and often used his own life experiences in his poems. His poem “Alone” does a good job reflecting on his childhood and in the following text I will analyze how portrays the harsh reality of his youth.” **USE THIS AS THESIS**

You also need at least one source about your poet’s era or movement (ie. Elizabethan, Victorian, Romantic, Modernist, Harlem Renaissance, Beat, confessional, feminist, Transcendentalist, WW I, Civil War, Puritan etc.): you should explore how your poet’s work relates to its historical context.
At least two of the sources must include scholars’ interpretations of the poem. You can argue against their opinions or use them to support or supplement your own.
