Question::

Bayle argues that the only solution to the problem of evil in the world for a believer is to rely on faith and silence reason. Is this Candide’s view at the end of Voltaire’s novella?

Need one GOOD counterargument paragraph before the conclusion.

I want to make my thesis something like

“In Candide, as the plot unveil the complexity within the solution to the problem of evil, unlike Bayle, who believes that the believer should rely on faith and silence reason, Candide fails to correspond with Bayle as he changes his position through the development of his ego. ”

I chose this because at the end of the story Candide shows the attitude that he doesn’t agree with the Pangloss.

but if you have better idea in other position, go for it.

make this good 🙂
