Paper question: why and how do people continue to believe that vaccinations cause autism, in spite of substantial evidence that their belief is not true ? There is three readings that I will attach below please use the readings and quote at least 2-3 from the readings to back up your thesis . My paper needs to have an introduction, in the introduction paragraph it needs to have a thesis and then supporting paragraphs and a conclusion . The attachments also has more directions. I made up a thesis if you want to use mine. Thesis : people believe that vaccinations causes autism even when they are presented with evidence that argues otherwise because it’s painful to let go of what they believed and they don’t want to be wrong . They use denial strategies for resisting information such as selective exposure, misrepresentation & logical fallacies and cherry picking to help them justify their beliefs . These are bolded vocabulary in the reading with examples that I used in my reading Selective exposure pg.4 Misrepresentation & logical fallacies pg.11-12 Cherry picking pg . 12 Please quote at least 2-3 from each reading and to connect everything from reading you are allowed to use personal experience but it cannot take up the whole essay Please cite when u quote within the essay MLA . Again the question is : why and how do people continue to believe that vaccinations cause autism in spite of substantial evidence that their beliefs is not true ? To answer this question use the explanations offered by prasad et al in “there must be a reason” and by washing no and Haydn in the two selections from “climate change denial ” to analyze the history of the vaccination controversy presented by specter in “vaccines and the great denial” . Be sure to define and Employ relevant key terms . FYI I listed the key terms that I want to talk about in my reading and I gave you the pg number as well .
