Provide any additional comments to student related to application of techniques, content organization, and note any clarity and/or concision suggestions. When providing feedback try to offer specific suggestions where you think the author could have made improvements.

Reply to Message
Create a brief routine reply to the message you critiqued. Include a salutation, 1 to 3 paragraphs and a signature close.
Be sure to respond to the main idea in the routine request and indicate in parentheses which sentence is your main idea. Since this is a routine reply then you will likely use the Direct Approach which means your reply to the customer request for a refund should be placed in the opening paragraph.

Every professional answers requests for information and action from time to time. If the response is a simple yes or some other straightforward information, the direct approach is appropriate. A prompt, gracious, and thorough response will positively influence how people think about you and the organization you represent. When you’re answering requests and a potential sale is involved, you have three main goals:
Respond to the inquiry and answer all questions,
Leave your reader with a good impression of you and your firm, and

Hello Scott,There are two job that are on the schedule this week, the Herbert Street and the corporate. Unfortunately, there are some difficulties in finishing those two jobs on time. I just received news from Lucia is that the new shipments were delayed unexpectedly. It was difficult for Lucia to contact you since she has a lot on her hand to deal with right now so she asked me to get in touch with you about why she wants the Herbert Street job to be done first.

As of right now, the material that we have is only enough to finish one job. Since the Herbert Street job is scheduled on Tuesday and it only takes about 2-3 days to finish, Lucia wants to finish this first because it’s a short period of time. For the corporate job which takes about 2-3 weeks to be done starting from today, I don’t think we will be able to begin the job with a low inventory. Unfortunately, the shipments were delayed more than just one day, we might as well just wait and start when we have more than enough to begin our work for the corporate.
