Theocracy is a form of government in which a deity is officially recognized as the lawgiver/Ruler and official church policy is governed by the clergymen who are regarded as “divinely guided,” or pursuant to the doctrine of a particular beliefs and practices of a religion or religious group.
Do you think Luther and Calvin believed a theocracy was the best form of government? Would they oppose America’s constitutional separation of church and state? Why or why not? Please explain.
