Traditional cultures have adapted to survival problems presented by the environment and, over countless generations, have developed ways to deal with problems of food-getting, shelter, appropriate clothing. These methods of adapting have been in the realms of technology and in social organization. As these cultures adapt to modern nation-state requirements, some of these methods of traditional life are jeopardized. How has traditional adaptation been stressed or changed in these areas?
