GUIDELINES: RESEARCH UTILIZATION PAPER One of the most powerful incentives for the conduct of research is the difference that might be made in the lives of individuals and aggregate groups for the betterment of health. From the beginning of the nursing research endeavor, nurses have been interested in using research to effectively impact the care of individuals and aggregate groups. In approaching the second decade of the twentieth century, evidence-based practice became the driving force in care giving.However, there remains a gap in acquisition of knowledge through research and the use of that knowledge in practice. This is an opportunity to bridge that gap by demonstrating how you would utilize the findings of that research to nursing or health situation in the VI. Research study in the area of health disparities (unaffordability) unavailability in other words, care/treatment/investigation was denied, not given, not available,not affordable, staff did not possess the skill and knowledge, health literacy issues affected care. 1. Relate the problem that was researched with the nursing or health care practice in the VI.2. Focus on the recommendations of the research and develop an implementation plan for utilization.
