This assignment is an End of Module Assignment and it was failed previously and I need to submit this with an improved version. I have attach you Tutor’s feedback and comments profile to have a look before you start for editing and improving.

I have also attach you course books because they want more engagement with course books and application of them to the chosen texts.

E301 MARKING CRITERIA

The following criteria will be used to decide what mark to give your assignment:

1 The relevance of your answer to the question set. You need to provide evidence that you have clearly understood the question and directed your answer accordingly.

2 Your knowledge and understanding of the E301 materials. Your tutor will look for evidence that you have understood and can draw effectively on research evidence, ideas, concepts and arguments that are central to the module. You should make use of technical vocabulary where appropriate, and refer to key terms and concepts from the E301 materials.

3 Your ability to draw on linguistic evidence as appropriate. Since this is a module about the English language, your tutor will expect you to support your arguments, wherever relevant, with appropriate linguistic examples. For those assignments that include practical work with language data, your tutor will specifically look to see whether your analysis is appropriate, whether it draws on relevant ideas and concepts from the module, and whether any interpretation you give is justified by reference to relevant aspects of the data.

4 Your ability to discuss and evaluate alternative explanations and arguments, as appropriate. Researchers and other commentators may provide different (and sometimes competing) explanations for linguistic events and processes. For assignments that require critical review or evaluation, your tutor will look to see how well you have engaged with alternative explanations and arguments that relate to the topic of the assignment.

5 The ability to present and pursue an argument. Your tutor will examine the structure of your answer to assess how well you can put together the material you use to sustain and support an argument.

6 The ability to express yourself clearly using academic conventions as appropriate. Your tutor will look for clarity in your work, in the way you make points, describe research findings and make critical comments. You should also acknowledge clearly any sources you have drawn on.

7 Skills of independent study. Your tutor will consider the extent to which you demonstrate the skills of independent study. This criterion applies in particular to TMA 05 and the end-of-module assessment (EMA).
