Discuss the forms of violence against women that are practiced in the country you have chosen to write about. You may wish to consider questions such as these:

What are these forms of violence, and how common are they?
Why are they practiced?
What impact do they have on the victims and on the society in which the victims live?
Should the United States or other countries intervene in the country you have chosen to write about, in an attempt to stop the violence?
What kinds of intervention would be most appropriate? Explain.
I am interested in your ideas, but you should also discuss these questions in light of Chapter 4 of Half the Sky. You must also use information from a minimum of three scholarly sources.

Include parenthetical citations and a list of Works Cited. Use MLA guidelines.
