Alex Sander case
The case, ‘A day in the life of Alex Sander’, details a fast track professional and one of his work days. The case shows how Alex is a driven worker and has had success in a new company.
A 360 review process was implemented by the company. Alex does not think the process is necessary and has been resisting reviewing the results. His direct manager does not agree.
After you review the information in the case and chapters 1 through 8 of our text, address the following:
• How do the individual beliefs, values and underlying assumptions appear to differ between the Alex and his boss?
• Does the mission and strategy appear to be the same for Alex and his team or do they differ? What are some examples?
• How would you describe the Alex’s time assumptions versus managements and his staff?
• If you were a working directly for Alex Sander, how would you react to the situation?
