Prepare a case study (2000-2500 words, plus a bibliography) of a company or organizations information management leadership. Select a company or organization that interests you (e.g., Netflix, United Way, Yahoo, etc.) and research its information management practices using publicly available sources or information retrieved from the Crown Library databases. A case study usually involves the analysis of many components of a situation, but for this assignment you should highlight information management issues. Begin your paper with a brief overview of the company or organization (i.e., its goals, products or services, history, etc.). Follow your overview with an analysis and discussion of the company/organizations information management leadership. Conclude your analysis and discussion with a set of recommended strategies that will improve the company/organizations operations, service(s), and/or product(s). Use the questions listed below to guide your research and analysis:
What problem or need is/was the company/organization trying to address?
How successfully or effectively has the company/organization addressed the problem or need? Explain.
What barriers did the company/organization encounter while trying to implement its product(s) or service(s)?
How might information management help the company/organization improve its performance and/or product(s)?
What are 3-5 information management strategies you would recommend to help the company/organization move forward? Explain how these strategies will help the company/organization.
