Identify overarching ideas that you can use to coordinate the sections you selected from your previous work. Using the various authors, include agreements where they occur as well as contrasting views, shared or competing assumptions, and the effect of context on the author’s position. Discuss how you see each author and add insights into the issues you focused on, whether in agreement or disagreement. Show how each perspective illuminates the issues by showing possible solutions or indicating problems. Use quotations with citations from the course readings to support your discussion. Be sure to include at least two quotations in your essay.

The bulk of the paper, however, should be your own thoughts on the issue. The final paper should include an introductory paragraph giving a clear statement of the perspective that you develop.

Discussion of the various authors should include clear and explicit transitions indicating how you see the authors’ contribution to your understanding of the issue. The paper should include a final paragraph stating a conclusion based upon your developed understanding of the issues you discussed.

Use your previous learning experience, your submissions in the discussion board and the ideas you have acquired during this current course. Technical requirements: Author’s last name and page number in the assigned reading placed in parenthesis should be used when citing the text in your papers. For example: (Plato, p. 12). No works cited page is required.
