I will attached additional document so you check how do I want the introduction to be.. Introduce abortion what is abortion types of abortion what make the women want to do abortion. Etc

Instructor commented on my outline.

Make sure you elaborate more on your definition of abortion. Give a legal definition as well as a medical definition, if there’s a difference. Explain the process on how abortion was not legal, and how it became legal, and then support it with your cases below.

Also, you said in the intro that the two cases were going to discuss how abortion became legal. Is the VUITCH case helpful to that introduction? Make sure it is.

Based on this outline, I’m not sure you can make your final paper flow from it. Needed to add more points on what you will be discussing and how your paper would ultimately flow.

Abortion

Introduction: Abortion is one of the most controversial issues that the society came across and it has been through numbers of debates. Basically, abortion means termination of pregnancy with a medical advice for most of the time. This paper discusses two significant court cases that had important impacts on legalization the abortion. However, from personal point of view, I believe that even though abortion is legal, the right to live should be respected.

Body Paragraphs:

I. UNITED STATES v. VUITCH, 402 U.S. 62 (1971)

– Vuitch, a physician, who was charged for doing or attempting to do abortion that violates the District of Columbia abortion statute.

– In 1901 the abortion was illegal in the District of Columbia except for critical medical conditions.

– Vuitch filled a suit stating that the law is unconstitutionally vague because it made the doctors prosecution without explain what “health” means, this was his argument.

– The Supreme Court disagreed claiming that “health” is a clear standard.

II. ROE v. WADE, 410 U.S. 113 (1973)

– The case that legalized abortion nationwide.

– Roe is an unmarried pregnant women who was seeking abortion legally and safety.

– Court found that the constitution right to privacy is broad enough to cover the women’s right to abort.

– The right to privacy is not absolute. The state has an interest to protect the potential life and safeguard maternal health.

Conclusion: For conclusion, although the abortion is legal and covered by the right of privacy, the right to live should be covered too. The mother should not decide whether to deliver the baby or not. Abortion should be restricted and limited for the critical medical conditions only.
