Write a presentation and a speek note and a summary of the text on lithium, research on how it produces different forms under different environments, And how lithium is sufficiently concentrated in certain rocks to become an economic deposit, —Students will perform research on a manufactured or naturally-occurring product of interest. They will describe the geological processes responsible for the origin of either the basic raw material for a manufactured product or of the naturally-occurring product. They will explain the processes necessary to convert these basic products into usable forms. Research should also cover sustainability aspects of the use and processing of the chosen product. Acceptable project formats are narrated slide shows or audio-visual files (8-10 minutes). In addition, students will provide a written summary of their research which expands upon and links to the annotated bibliography (see project milestones below.) Summaries should be 750 words (excluding references), properly citing all facts and non-original interpretations of facts. The bibliography (not annotated) must include a minimum of one peer-reviewed scientific article accessible through a public database, e.g. Google Scholar, JSTOR, etc.
