The modern Middle East went through a distinctive pattern of phases of development to arrive to its present shape. Given your knowledge of the pattern – what do you think is political/economic future of the region? Please, show your deep knowledge and wisdom derived from our course texts, and your own research and thinking (the course sources are primary, though).
Show that you understand and can describe and analyses the pattern of development of the region, and the distinctions between RRLP, RRLA, and RPLA countries, as well as between monarchies and republics. Use examples, quote from the texts, and use a consistent bibliographic style.
