Review John Kotter’s 8-Step Process for Leading Change (Links to an external site.). Conduct extensive research on Southwest Airlines and change initiatives occurring in the organization, or those that have recently occurred. Pick a specific organizational change initiative and discuss all appropriate stages of the process when you answer the prompts.
1. At what stage of Kotter’s process is this organizational change currently in? Remember, most organizational changes are involved in more than one “stage” at a time. Provide specific cited examples to support your answer.
2. What stages of Kotter’s process did the organization already successfully implement? Remember, a “stage” in the organization process may never truly be finished, but you should be able to identify specific examples of how certain stages were successfully implemented. Provide specific cited examples to support your answer.
3. What stages of Kotter’s process did the organization fail to implement; provide a reason for why? Again, provide specific cited examples of a “stage/step” not being implemented, or possibly being implemented in the wrong order. From your research, try and identify a reason for this change implementation failure that is supported by Kotter’s research and writing’s on Organizational Change.

Use APA style to cite your sources and list your references. Use standard 12-point font, 1-inch margins, single space. Times New Roman is preferred but not required. Upload your assignment as a Word document. This submission should be at least 1 page (about 500 words).
Excessive spelling and/or grammatical errors will result in point deductions. Lack of proper capitalization, punctuation and short and incomplete sentences will result in point deductions as per the rubric.
