Write an argument paper to the accuracy of your chosen movie.
HIS 150 Movie Paper Guidelines Purpose: Your final paper should be an argument as to the accuracy of your chosen movie. Your paper should use evidence from academic sources to argue for the accuracy of the film.
Your introduction should state clearly how accurate a portrayal you believe the movie was about the given themes it covered. If you are analyzing a section or one particular theme, you need to make that clear in your introduction.
The body of your paper should be paragraphs detailing scenes/characters/themes and how your sources enlighten you about the film’s accuracy. You can talk about how the event was portrayed in the film and how your sources suggest it really happened.
Your final paragraph should be your conclusion – it should reinforce your introduction about the accuracy of the film and include a discussion on how the film’s accuracy/lack of impacts your understanding of the film and the events it portrays. If it is not remotely accurate, does that make the film worthless? If so, why? If it seems incredibly accurate, how does that help the general public understand these historic events better?
