This paper in about The reluctance of people to reject outdated traditions, ideas, rules, laws, and practices.
This paper includes two major areas : first, you have to include a literature fiction which I picked \” The Lottery \” by Shirley Jackson (1948) \”you can find it online\” which is about how bad and dangerous tradition can be when people follow it blindly. So in the beginning of the paper you should give a brief summary about this literature and talk about the theme of it and analysis of the story. Second major part is to talk about other traditions and beliefs and practices people do without asking why should we do this. And you can write about why people do that.
Some of the bad tradition and practices people do, specially in Arab community:
-extravagant in providing hospitality like food and considering that to be kind of generosity and showing off while the Islam teaches to be moderate and forbids extravagant.
-Arab specially Gulf Countries also have another bad habit which is only few of them accept to work in low level job like clean worker or carpenter or farmer ….etc. and the large numbers of foreign workers in these countries and the fact that families like to have driver and home servant can prove that.
-also you can include global bad practice like smoking while knowing that it will harm them or any other examples you find it related and interesting to this paper topic.
