Women rights

Women rights

Different people have different opinions and views on the social issue concerning how people should live in the society and especially concerning the rights of the women. This paper highlights on the women rights as portrayed by Galt.

Galt portrays women as highly ambitious people who have failed to play their roles appropriately. Even though, women have their rights, they seem to misuse the same. Women have become too demanding and they create instincts which themselves cannot achieve. Men are under pressure to provide and to satisfy the needs of the women, demands that sometimes make the life of men hard and stressful. This is captured from the  statement, “let them ask themselves whether their ‘instinct of tool-making’ will provide them with their electric refrigerators, their washing machines and vacuum cleaners, and, if not, whether they care to destroy those who provided it all, but not ‘by instinct’ (Galt 27).

Therefore, it clearly illustrate that women even though feel that they require equal attention and have the capability to work and to act like men, they do not put this into actions.  For instance, they have continued to use old methods of making flour but now they demand refrigerators, which they themselves cannot be able to make. Therefore, it is a clear indication that, there is still a problem or rather conflicts between men and women when it comes to their rights.

Nevertheless, with this, freedoms, women have the rights to make important decisions they deem correct and even to contribute to societal growth.   However, even with the freedom and enlightenment, women must be ready to accept to work together with their men counterpart and not to threaten them and give them ultimatums. They should be led by their morals to enable them seek happiness, hence should no give up but rather keep on fighting for that which they want to achieve and for sure, the commitment and discipline will bear fruits.
