Case Study Instructions

 

Write a case study  3-4 pages based on the Tiffany and Co. article.

 

Instructions:

You are writing this memo for a corporate executive who, faced with resolving the central ethical issue, seeks your input. You are preparing this memo to provide her with information and analysis she needs to make the decision on how to deal with the ethical concerns raised.

A Case Study is a document you are preparing for a corporate executive, providing the information and analysis she will need to make a decision on the issue you have identified.

Each Case Study must include three parts:

 

  1. Summary of relevant facts around the situation – these facts should lead up to the main ethical issue you present.
  2. The main ethical issue that needs to be address – Remember that ethical issues may be related to marketing, management, employment issues, but they are more than that. They concern the effects of business decisions on the well-being and rights of those who are touched by the decisions, including society at large.
  3. Three alternatives to address the ethical issue along with a recommendation for one of them. (When presenting an alternative be sure to include how the proposed alternative could impact the stakeholders)

Do not reproduce the language in the case study.This will reduce your grade. Paraphrase everything you use from the case study. If you use any outside sources, properly attribute words or ideas taken form those sources.

The final product should:

  • be typed, double spaced, in 12pt Times New Roman font, with margins no wider than one inch
  • have no headers or footers except for page numbers
  • be prepared in Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format only
