Introduction
There is a great amount of enthusiasm spread across the world regarding the sources of energy which are available in the world today. This in proportion adds a greater curiosity to develop and increase the production of alternative sources of energy to withstand the effects of global warming. In this article we are going to discuss as the threat of global warming and diminishing natural resources increase, we are looking for more efficient methods of electricity generation. With this in mind, are solar or wind power truly viable alternative sources in Australia?
The discussion is going to be spread across various smaller units like alternative energy sources which area available in comparison to the fossil fuel dilemma which the world is going through and future supplies for future energy. This is going to be derived into the ultimate energy sources which are available in Australia.

Solar Power
From an environment perspective solar power is the best source and its results are truly amazing. A 1.5 KW PV system is capable of keeping more than 110000 of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere for the next 25 years.With the same solar power it is needkless to burn 50000 to 60000 pounds of coal (Energy Quest, 2008). The solar power does not attract any wind smog, pollution of any kind. Solar panels are worth investing as they are bomb proof and they come with a great warranty. There are a lot of misconceptions with the usage of solar panels that they are heavy and they will get outdated where as the other way round is true. They are of light weight and we can invest in a smaller one in the beginning and can move on to a bigger one (Patrinos, A 2009).
The most harming factors would be as follows
• Air pollution is one of the major reasons for most of the diseases as the kinds of particles which cause various other types of pollution can be purified in some way or the other by implementing various methods but the air pollution is one factor which can cause a lot of diseases and cannot be purified by adapting any methods. Most of the particles in the air when the country is filled with industries comprise of some kind of carbon which is made of a lot of smaller particles. These particles can enter into the lungs directly when an individual breathes and this can cause a lot of diseases which could result in causing death
• Apart from the factors which cause air pollution like the smoke and the soot which comes out of such factories dust which comes from storms is also one of the main reasons for causing air pollution
Controlling the solar meters might have been assumed to be truly difficult and to overcome this there have been many distribution technologies. In countries like Australia where he threat of global warming and diminishing natural resources increase, people are looking for more efficient methods of electricity generation. This has made a lot of Australian suppliers be more supportive of the solar energy and the schemes are being offered as a result of it. There are a lot of business people who are offering many buy back schemes different suppliers of gas and electricity buy the most economical energy source (IPCC, 2007).
The hanging and an amazing amount of wire outperforms its beauty. The grid which comes with the solar panel is a lot more economical, it is a lot greener and the grid tied PV System is a lot more efficient. The same system can be used for resulting in the maximum power curve in the inverter as it is more efficient than the voltage charged batteries. The grid efficient system is a lot better than the regular system and the buy in from the customers is essential the price is a lot cheaper.
Most of the people are investing in the grid connected solar systems in terms of cost saving than the electricity from the grid. In a country like Australia with all its power issues it is always advisable for the consumers and the business people to turn to the Solar energy systems (Department of Industry, 2003).
Wind power
Wind power has been in use since 5000 BC and wind power is also being recognized as an alternative source to produce electricity through effective means as it is an efficient energy source that can serve as an alternative to fossil fuel generated electricity. The installation cost is also low for the wind mills and their installation cost however has reduced drastically by 15 to 20 % and the global wind energy capacity has doubled its own capacity of 10000 watts and it has proven to be the most effective source of electricity generation in countries like Australia. They are more affordable, available energy sources which are pollution free and the only issue in this regard is that the wind energy also lacks the power of radiation as the solar energy.

Conclusion
With the above sources and the other sources of energy it is always a great chance that the types of electricity generation from coal or other sources causes a lot of pollution in the urban areas and the areas surrounding those areas.
