Biometric Authentication Using Machine Learning Techniques

User authentication is the process of verifying whether the identity of a user is
genuine prior to granting him or her access to resources or services in a secured
environment. some application of biometrics( Gaze Interaction, Face
Authentication…etc ) that has been a topic of interest for several machine
learning techniques. provide a thorough and concise introduction to the field of
biometric authentication and it’s applications and the current work done on this
domain.

Consider these guidelines while writing:

Subject of the Paper

The subject of the paper must be relevant to the content of the course (i.e.,
computer security and related technologies). The paper should focus on a specific
topic and go into the details of that topic. The details should be greater in depth
than what is covered in class about the topic. Make sure that the paper focuses on
one question or topic so that the paper has a definite purpose. This purpose should
be mentioned clearly in the introduction of the paper.

Term Paper Types
Two types of term papers are accepted. Either a technical paper, which goes into the
details of a specific technology, security mechanism, or protocol, etc. or a survey
paper which focuses on a specific area and examines the state-of-the-art and latest
research in this area and presents what is available and contrasts between the
various techniques, etc. In either case, the paper should read more like a research
or technical paper and not like a “commercial brochure” or a magazine article for
non professionals.

Paper Structure
Each paper should start with an abstract (a short one-paragraph that summarizes what
the paper is about) and an introduction (for introducing the topic and motivating
it). The paper must end with a conclusion and a references section. The paper should
be divided into sections so that information is grouped into coherent units, making
the paper easier to read and follow. There are many ways to organize the paper, and
this will depend on the topic, the focus, and the content. For example, see how
typical research papers are organized.

Paper Length
Length is not important! The focus should be on covering the topic properly! In any
case, a 7 to 10 pages of single-spaced text using 10 to 12 pt. font is a good
target. The title, author name, ID number and email address should be included on a
cover page. The paper must be submitted online. Acceptable formats are PDF or MS
Word.

References
All references must be new, 2011 and above, its okay if only one or two really good
references are older than 2011, but the rest are must. You must present your own
ideas in addition to gathering information from authoritative sources. References
should be given at the end of the paper. You can use research papers, articles,
books, and websites as references, but the “main” references of your paper should be
based on technical / research materials like published papers, journal articles or
white papers, otherwise, your paper will not be technical or research oriented. Of
course, all sources must be cited! Plagiarism is not allowed!
