Secondly, it provides a way to explore key design areas in a simplified way. The required calculations are what are often referred to as-back-of-an-envelope calculations. They should not require a lot of space or great detail. They are approximate calculations only.This type of calculation is used to get a general idea on the feasibility of a design component.
