China Residential Market Influences By Global Financial Crisis
Chapter 1: Research Topic and Questions
1.1 Introduction
This research will focus on that the financial crisis (Subprime mortgage crisis) has influenced on China residential market. The US subprime mortgage crisis refers to a countrywide emergency in the banking sector that was triggered by a decline in the real estate prices and coincided with the US recession that occurred between 2007 and 2009. This lead to mortgage law-breaking and foreclosures. In addition to this, there was depreciation of home-related securities. This research will also look into ways of counteracting the negative effects of subprime mortgage crisis. It will involve collection of data from relevant sources including secondary sources of data. The data obtained from the research will be analysed so as to ascertain the effects that the subprime mortgage crisis has on the global real estate market.
1.2 Research questions (not enough)
This research will focus on answering the following research questions:
i. What are the shortcomings of financial crisis on the China residential market?
ii. What is the current state of the China residential market (Using one city of China to give example)?
iii. Why does financial crisis still have influence on the China residential market?
iv. How does financial crisis influence the China residential market?
1.3 Aims and objectives of the research
This research has the following aims and objectives:
i. To identify the shortcomings of financial crisis on the China residential market
ii. To determine ways of counteracting the negative effects of mortgage crisis on the global housing market
iii. To understand the current state of the China housing market
iv. To learn any benefits that mortgage crisis may have on the China residential market
v. To understand the causes of the subprime mortgage crisis

This research will require the following data to be collected.
• Interest Rate
• Housing price index
• Mortgage rate
• Lending amount
• Government policy (Chinese bank regulates residential)
