Write an essay (1,000-1,250 words) using a real-life organization (yours or one you are familiar with) that addresses the following:
1) Something that needs to be changed.
2) Why things are the way they are currently.
3) What was the intended purpose?
4) Why does it no longer meet the intended purpose?
In the essay, using the framework for change model, develop a change initiative for the organization that will create better organizational results.
In “Successful Change and the Force That Drives It,” the author identifies international economic integration, maturation of markets, and increase of capitalist regimes as forces for change. Have these or any other factors driven the need for change? In what way?
Which leaders of the organization would be appropriate sponsors for the change management activity? What cultural changes do you think would be needed? Discuss the internal changes (e.g., leadership styles, employee characteristics, culture and climate, structure, strategy, etc.) required in response to these forces.
Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
