Compare the origins of WWI and WWII. What economic and political factors brought them about? Could these wars be avoided? Is there a single “guilty” side in each case? Is there a fundamental difference between WWI and WWII in all these respects?

Be sure to use a balance of information from the textbook and powerpoints. Make sure to use more than sufficient information from the textbook. Be sure to also, check for proper grammar, spelling, prepositions, etc, as our professor can be a stringent marker. Be sure to write something that is of a university level.
You can also use other scholarly sources (books articles), but please, no references to Wikipedia or other websites!
A perfect essay will be marked under Engagement with the textbook(I will be looking at how attentively you read the textbook and how well you use it your think piece.) , Coverage of the main aspects of the topic(Here you will have to make sure that your think piece addresses all the above-mentioned questions and does so in an even manner.), Details/Examples(Here I will be looking at the number and accuracy of details and illustrations that you offer in order to illustrate your argument.) and last Structure and style(Make sure that your think piece has an introductory and a concluding paragraph and that all your paragraphs have a topic sentence and a number of supporting sentences. I will also be looking at your choice of words and the overall editing of your text). This is according to the professor’s marking guideline.
