Describe the approaches of different European powers (Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Britain, and France) to expand and rule their overseas territories between 16th and 19th century, and compare them and identify differences and similarities among them.

This is for North-South Relations class.
This course focuses on the fact that developing countries used to be colonies of, or at least “dependent” on Western European countries. By looking at the history, this course consider the developing countries in the light of the relation with advanced countries.
