This assignment is an introduction to the types of data we would need to collect to develop hypotheses about relationships between our physical environment and food choice. Firstly, you will map your local food environment – the various sources of
food in the vicinity of your own home. Secondly, you will observe your own food purchasing habits over the course of a week, and transform this into a data set which could be analyzed. Thirdly, you will assemble some of your own characteristics,
including a 3-day diet diary. Lastly, you will integrate these three sources of information to demonstrate an understanding of how environmental factors might affect food choice, and visa versa.
