I have chosen the topic of landscape with a specific focus on nature. The topic will focus on the impact humanity’s need to create new buildings has had on nature. The essay will begin with a look at natural forest and lakes and progress into the destruction or elimination of nature to make way new buildings. Finally focusing on the abandonment of older buildings and how nature has begun to take over. I chose this topic because as a society when something is outlived its usefulness we abandon it and start new with disregard for the effects on our surroundings. The continued disregard is leading to a depletion of forests, extinction of species, and the increase to humanities desire to consume.
