Discuss the federal reserve including a discussion of its role in our economy concentrating on the last five years.More importantly, include a discussion of the FED’s role in meeting our national economy’s goals on unemployment, inflation, and economic growth utilizing the FED’s traditional tools of reserve requirements, open market operations, moral suasion, and discount rate.
Finally relate the FED’s involvement to our present day economic enviroment and indicate what steps, if any, the current federal reserve chairman is likely to and should, in your opinion, pursue in the next12-24 months. Please include a discussion of the historic monetary and fiscal policy efforts of the past five years undertaken by U.S Gov and federal reserve including both the traditional and non traditional measures undertaken to was and support financial/ creedit markets and the overall economy.
