For the Vernacular Research Project, you will select a vernacular project based on climate, culture, or country, and describe the environmental and cultural context of the building in order to correlate architectural characteristics to climate. This project will help you build a foundation of knowledge about passive architectural strategies and how they can address many environmental issues.
In this module, you will begin your project by selecting a vernacular building or type of construction based on country, climate, or culture. Submit an image with the name, location, and climate of selected vernacular project for approval.
You will submit progress work in Module 5. The complete project is due in Module 7.
