Examine specific heat capacity and change of state

We did 2 experiment in class and were asked to write a report for 2 of the experiments separately both 100words for each experiment and show calculations in results section.

Experiment 1: Specific Heat Capacity
method:
1.Weigh and read mass of calorimeter
2. add water(halfway). Weigh and record mass
3.Place probe in water & record initial temperature.
4. Carefully place solid weight into calorimeters and return to lab bench.
5. Close lid and place temometre in the caliometre
6. observe temperature Change and record the final equilibrium.

aim: to identify the unknown metal by it’s specific heat capacity.(copper, iron, brass or lead)

results: you are to do the calculations using the formulas &examples given.

Ti= 95.3 degrees Celsius
Mass of water=0.4887kg
Mass of metal: 0.468kg
1. 58.79g
2. 107.67g
3. 18.3 degrees Celsius- Ti=18.3 degrees Celsius
4. Tf= 21.3 degrees Celsius

Mc/_\t=mc/_\t

~therefore you are trying to find the heat capacity.
Research:
Do some research about the specific heat capacity of that unknown metal and reference it. (1 source)
Conclusion:
*conclude how precise the experiment was?
*how good the experiment was?

Experiment 2: Change of State
Same procedure as above although now with ice.

Results: find the calculations for Latent Heat of Fusion. what gained =what lost
Calculation: mc/_\T+mLf=(mc/_\T)(water).
