Significance of the study
There have been few studies on the causes of the health disparities in US. However, many of these do not incorporate the current emerging trends and macroeconomic environment. Thus, there is a gap between the previous studies and the prevailing health conditions. The study will incorporate the current economic and health conditions in order to give a framework for decision making on issues regarding health disparities.
Research questions
The research will answer the following general questions; what is the cause of the health disparities in US? The following question will also be answered. What impact does health insurance have on the health disparities in US? How has poverty and chronic stress contributed to the health disparities in the US?
Statement of objective
Health disparities in US need to be dealt to ensure that citizens receive equal treatment on issues regarding their health. There are various causes that lead to health disparities. Poverty and chronic stress is identified as one of the major causes of health disparities in US. Disparities in health and health care are due to that there are excess health costs charged to blacks, Hispanics and Asian Americans.
Research objective
The general objective of the study is to investigate the causes of health disparities in the US. Research will also evaluate the impact of health insurance on the health situation in US(Rubin, Clouston & Link, 2014). Finally, the study will explain how poverty and chronic stress contributes to these disparities.
