This task allows you to explore an issue or your choice that has relevance to the course’s content. This task will require you to identify personal learning objectives and to later demonstrate what you have gained as a result of doing your project. Academic staff must approve the topic; however there is a great deal of flexibility in topics that can be developed. This task requires you to reflect on previous research and literature; however the final paper can be presented as an academic paper or a business style report. This report, however, must demonstrate your ability to conduct research or investigation around the selected topic.
Topics should be relevant to this course and thus have a focus that can relate to issues associated with (for example) e Business; m Business, social media, electronic communication, electronic information. Papers must be original and must not have been submitted fully or partly for another course.
Past examples have included papers on:
• “Digital Cash, especially that developed through mobile devices”
• “Business applications of mobile content”
• “Adoption of m-learning technology”
• Use of social media within the arts sector
• Use of RFID in libraries.
If you are working, this task may allow you to explore an emerging issue within your work environment, for example, ‘mobilizing’ your corporate website.
The topic must be able to be evaluated in some depth. It may build upon area of interest identified in the other assessment tasks, but must be analyzed in more detail. Simply repeating your first assessment task, will obviously lead to a fail.
You must outline your topic on the form provided and submit it by the date on the course schedule. Your lecturer must approve this plan before you commence your research. The research can be presented in either an academic or business report.
The best approach to this task is to read about potential topics early and to start talking with academic staff early. Staff will not ‘give you a topic’, but are more than happy to guide your thinking and topic development.
The Research Report requires you to:
• Pose and try to answer critical questions.
• Research the topic well based on recent information.
• Document it appropriately in terms of citation and report writing style.
• Pay attention to critical appraisal of issues discussed and factual content presented.
• Critically evaluate the issue or problem that you are addressing. This is NOT a descriptive essay, but rather one based on evaluation and investigation.
Criteria used to evaluate major projects
The following criteria are used when assessing your Research Report.
To what extent have you:
• Identified clear rationale for developing the project based on an assessment of needs?
• Developed clear objectives for the report?
• Posed key critical questions to be pursued in the report?
• Displayed a critical and evaluative approach when collecting, using, and presenting information?
• Developed logical conclusions supported with appropriate evidence?
• Used up-to-date sources of evidence?
• Heeded sufficient attention to acknowledging the sources used in the project?
• Presented all project information in a clearly written and appropriately organized format?
As this criterion suggests, the paper must be one that demonstrates evaluation, not just description. Simply describing a new technology will not be accepted.
I want to write about UAV and I have written some contents but they are far from enough
Basically, the content should at least include
– What is UAV? & history of UAV (Why is it invented? > military)
– Work of unmanned aerial vehicle & how does it work
– The network applications of UAV
and I have specific mentioned Logistics Amazon Prime Air, Facebook Aquila, Google Project Wing, DOTSTAR
(every application’s purpose, current status, limitation and the difficulties it is facing should be mentioned, I would like a picture for each UAV as well)
– Pros and Cons
As the above requirements are fulfilled, it is all on your call to make this assignment better, thanks!
Please be aware that “As this criterion suggests, the paper must be one that demonstrates evaluation, not just description. Simply describing a new technology will not be accepted !!!
