Capstone Project Format Requirements
The Final Capstone Project is based on the prior Research Project Proposal submission (Attached). Work must be professionally prepared and free of typographical, spelling and grammatical errors. Although the specific length of the formal document may vary somewhat depending upon the topic selected, the use of tables, matrices, graphs, PowerPoint or other visual supplements, as well as the degree of reliance upon statistical data, etc., it is suggested that the formal paper should be 5,000-7,500 words in length inclusive of a title page, a one to two page abstract or project summary, a background or introductory section, a succinct statement of the issues and questions being explored, a literature search, a description of the research design, protocol, or model followed, discussion of findings, results and/or recommendations, an appropriate bibliography and appendices as appropriate. Please note that some of the material in attached Research Project Proposal may be applicable and should be added to the Final Capstone Project.
In addition, a Capstone Project Activity Report is due weekly. The report may be brief but formal providing the project weekly work plan and progress up to date. Include a brief narrative comment on the status of your Capstone Project and what specific developments (activities, draft sections of chapters completed, etc) have taken place since the last course weekly report. Also, indicate whether the project is on track in so far as the original work plan and Schedule of deliverables are concerned. If changes are necessitated, please provide a brief revised work plan and Schedule of deliverables and rationale for the changes. Please note that any change in the workplan and/or Schedule of deliverables must be approved before completing this Activity Report.
The weekly Capstone Project Activity Report must also include a schedule of weekly deliverables by completion.
