Introduction
There are records of different forms of slavery practiced in the ancient India in the days of old. Slave trade was fueled by colonization of the East Indies. Child labor was an accepted fact of business even among the parents of then. Human trafficking on the other hand was done through middlemen most of the time. The research aims at finding out how the three forms of slavery named were executed.

Colonization and Slave Trade
Colonization of the East Indies was accompanied with slave trade.
The British and the Dutch fought for the control of this kind of trade .
Child Labor
Child labor is tied to child prostitution
Children were taken captive and used as sex object by trade merchants .
Human Trafficking
• Middlemen facilitated the trafficking of people.
• Parents sold their children to moneylenders to borrow loans or pay for same .
• It is believed that as many as100 million people are involved in human trafficking in India.

Conclusion
Slavery in India has been a socio-economic problem that the government in the Continent has tried to solve with some success. However, the main barriers have been the lack of understanding about the root course of this vice.
