Introduction
Efficiency is an important part of any organization. This is because for an organization that is keen on making monetary profits, no time should be wasted on irrelevant actions and processes that only cost the company more money. Consequently, any organization looking to make more money must be keen on establishing efficiency. While efficiency is critical, the HR department of any company is arguably the engine of the said company. This is because the HR department controls the workforce of the organization. In order to ensure that the organization achieves efficiency, the HR department must structure itself in such a way that the workforce works efficiently.
During my internship, I was looking to ensure that I bring efficiency to the organization in which I am working. Consequently, choosing to help digitize the records at Sara Group Holdings was well within my goals. I was also looking to ensure that I learn the intricacies of HR management and how to effectively lead a group of workers that are central to the success of the organization.

Day and Date: Description of activity
Day 1 This is my first day of internship in Sara Group Holdings, a group of company based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia with line of business in marketing fashion brands, cosmetics, luxury goods, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and advertising. The company is an exclusive distributor for numerous international brands and products which were sold thru retail stores and chosen wholesalers in the kingdom.
I arrived in the office before 9am, then after a few minutes I met Mr. Ali Kazem Abdullatif, the supervisor for the Human Resource Department of the company. He conducted short interview to get to know few information about me. After the interview, he discusses the brief background of the company and its history, connections and its affiliates as well as the operations of the company. During this discussion, I learned that Sara Group Holdings is an umbrella for many company such as Sara Corporation, Paris Gallery, Sara United Advertising and Sara GMC which are currently operating here in the kingdom and with thousands of employees with different nationalities.
After the discussion about the company, he informed me that I will be assigned in their HR Department and he briefed me about the tasks as an intern. My tasks according to the supervisor is to assist on the HR Department in all the daily transactions such as in collecting attendance data, leave forms filed by employees, updating status and expiration on residence permits and working permits, filing, encoding and other employees’ relation transactions. Truly, I was overwhelmed with the workloads while it is being discussed to me. Although, I just keep my composure and just try to listen on the instructions in the best that I could.
Then, Mr. Ali accompanied me to the area of HR Department. While we are walking also giving some information regarding the location of each department such Finance and Accounting, Office of General Manager, Sales and Marketing and other departments. According it is important that I should be familiar with the location for the most of the works of HR Department are coordinated and sync with other departments. He also mentioned the key personnel on each department. In the HR Department area, he introduces me to the employees that I will work with and showed to me my working space.
There were no specific task given to me in this day, and thus I just observed and look on to the flows of the activities in the department and see how my colleagues in the department work on their tasks.
Day 2 This is my second day as an intern in Sara Group Holding. During the morning I was introduced to the Head of the Department and was actually oriented with roles as HR Assistant. It is almost the same as what Mr. Ali has told me like collecting attendance data, leave forms filed by employees, updating status and expiration on residence permits and working permits, filing, encoding and other employees’ relation transactions. Although, this time they shown me how the work is done and how to file documents and where to file it or in short data management. They have oriented me also about the forms that are used or implemented in the company. There a various forms shown to me such Vacation Forms, Request for Supplies, Leave Forms, Official Business forms which are used by sales and marketing and etc., They also oriented me regarding the offers and employment contracts however the discussion was too brief regarding this topic. Also policies on the attendance was also discussed to me such as the “grace period” in the in and out of the attendance as well as the number minutes of tardiness allowed for employees in a single month.
I was oriented also with the flow of the transaction and how they are connected with other department. For instance the Vacation Form, it comes from the requesting employee, then it should be submitted to his / her supervisor for approval, then it will be submitted to HR Department for verification and update then it will go to HR Manager for approval then to the Finance and Accounting for the calculation of benefits and settlements. It was mentioned also that HR Department is doing statistical and progress reports of employees from the managers to the rank and file employee.
In this day I was given a few filing task only of the previous application forms and request forms of employees to their corresponding folders.
Day 3 This is my third day of internship in the company. In the morning shift I was given a task of photocopying some of application forms of employees. These forms are used for the local applicants in the company. Then after finishing the task, I was given a bunch fully filled up applications and attachments to be scanned likewise, the new and renewed Residence ID of current employees. I was supervised by one of the regular HR Assistant in the department at first and she have shown me how it was done. She also gave me few tips on how to speed up the work. It was easy in an instance, but a few tries finally got it to work. I also made requisition for supplies that I need for the work.
In the afternoon shift I was given documents in a box which consist of email and various forms which has to be sorted, classified and filed in the corresponding folders. I was confused at first and find it hard to sort it, and therefore I ask for a help from one of the HR Department employees on how to sort and distinguish the file. I ended not finishing the task. But I put it back on my work space to finish to on the following day.
Day 4 This is the fourth day of my internship in Sara Group Holdings. My plan in the morning is to finish the filing from yesterday. However, as soon I arrived in the office I was given an instruction to participate or attend a meeting. The meeting was held in the huge office where employees and head of the departments are in attendance. The agenda is mostly focuses on the timing for the upcoming Ramadan Month in which the schedules will be changed accordingly to the employee and the branches. In the Head Office there will be difference in the timing of the “non-fasting” and “fasting” employees and with regards to the branches and stores it will corresponds on the timings of the offices and malls they are located or assigned.
It was also tackled in the meeting the standard procedures and implementation of Official Business Forms specifically to marketing department, due to some previous misused of the form. After the meeting I went back to the HR Department area where they give me some files to be given to the Finance and Accounting department and as well as in the Sales and Marketing Department.
After the lunch break, I started to work on my back log by classifying, sorting and filing of documents. I finished this task this day.
Day 5 This is my fifth day as an intern in the company and my final day of my first week. In the morning I was given a task of encoding. At first, I thought they will teach me on how to use the software that they are using, however the head of the department just told me to put it on excel sheet. The contents of the documents are names, nationalities, contacts and job position.
In the afternoon shift, I was given task once more of filing documents. The documents are Leave Forms with attachments and old copies of IQAMA and email which are to be filed in the 201 of the corresponding employees. I was accompanied by one of the regular HR assistance in doing this task. And I reported back to the office of Mr. Ali Kazem Abdullatif and discuss some feedbacks on my first week of work. I have received results and comments, however he offer more advise on how to keep up on the work.
1. What new knowledge or skill did you learn on the internship this week? Among the new knowledge I learned in this week is about the company. I learned that Sara Group Holdings is a prestige company which comprises of many sub companies that are currently operating in the kingdom with multinational employees and with a competitive status in the market industry. I am beginning to be exposed on the organization’s operations specifically in the Human Resource Department. Although it is premature to say that I have learned skills, I could say that in this first week of internship experience, I am starting in developing data management skills as well as the organizational skills due to the tasks that was given to me in this period and that looking forward to enhance those skills in the fullest until the end of my internship.
2. What have you learned in the university that you applied on the internship? The group projects and activities in college have paid off. It really helps especially when you work on the professional environment. Like in the group activities and projects cooperation and coordination is the key to have a great result of project, for every task is interconnected, and thus I could say that it is similar to the professional environment, you have to coordinate and cooperate not just to your co-employees in the department but as well as with other department in order to finish a job or achieve objectives.
3. List any difficulties, mistakes, pleasant or unpleasant experiences that occurred this week. What did you do to correct your mistake (s)? At first I find it difficult to communicate and speak with other employees in the department. I feel shy that I may disturb them with their work. I am very tentative in asking questions about the task that was given to me. However, I realized that I need to speak and communicate in the way I can, in order for me to finish my job.
4. On what skill or question could you use help in performing your internship responsibilities better? Like I have mentioned in question number 3, I believe I need to work on my communication skills and at this point I need to know how to act normal professional manner. Also, I believe I need to be more keen and attentive, especially that I am assigned in HR Department wherein documents are all important and confidential.
5. What interesting or challenging experience did you have with your fellow workers or site supervisor? I experienced no challenging experiences this week.

Day and Date: Description of activity
Day 1 Being the second week of the internship program, I was more than excited to report to work. This was because I was feeling the need to keep up with what was going on at the company. Secondly, I was feeling a bit more confident compared to the previous week seeing that I was now more conversant with the structure and the procedures of what was required of me. Additionally, I just like Mondays and I was looking forward to beginning the week on a high note. When I arrived at work, I was invited to attend the regular departmental meeting that the head of the HR department usually holds. During this meeting, the main agenda was the tasks ahead and how the HR department was going to keep up with its schedule insofar as filing and logistical targets ad deadlines are concerned.
After the meeting, I was assigned the task of assisting fellow interns in filing the records of the employees in accordance to the new filing system. This was mostly plain work seeing that all I did during the whole day was to follow certain procedures in placing the paperwork in the right order and filing them. The work was plenty and seeing that I would not be reassigned for the rest of the day, I basically kept working on the filing. My supervisor occasionally came to assess my work and that of others for quality. At the end of the day, I left the office with some paperwork still unfiled.
Day 2 Today I arrived as early as I could at work so that I could continue with the filing of the paperwork. As soon as I arrived, Mr. Kazem asked me to report to his office. I arrived at his office to find him waiting for me. He was looking forward to hearing my opinions about the filing system that the company uses. He asked me to be completely honest with him. Following the request, I decided to tell him that I thought the filing of the paperwork was actually cumbersome and an impediment of sorts to efficiency within the organization. However, Seeing that I had no immediate solution that I had sought of for the problem, he asked me to think further about the matter and that he would ask me to report back to him in a few days or weeks, he did not articulate that point.
Later on I returned to the filing task that I was yet to finish and continued filing the paperwork. I was also surprised when one of the HR Assistants came and asked me what the supervisor has asked of me. Seeing that I did not understand the intentions of the intern, I decided to withhold the information that he had asked my opinion about the efficiency of the filing system. We continued with the filing until the evening when I left the office.
Day 3 Having finished on the filing tasks that I had been assigned earlier on in the week, I was feeling confident and excited about today. I was also looking forward towards being assigned a new task to take on today. When I arrived at work, I found my supervisor waiting eagerly to talk to me and my fellow interns. He informed us that the company was looking forward towards hearing the opinions of the employees on several issues that affect them directly.
After this, the HR department leaders met in a closed door meeting where they deliberated on the questions that would be used in the questionnaire that they would administer to the employees. After they had deliberated on the questions and compiled them, I was assigned the task of typing the work and later on making copies that would be administered later on in the week. This task took up the rest of my day and I still did no complete it. I resolved to complete it the following morning.
Day 4 Today I came to work early and completed making copies of the questionnaire. I was also asked to arrange the copies in groups of 100 that would be administered. After I had completed this, I was asked to assist in making some few copies and typing some few documents for my supervisor. The rest of the day was pretty much uneventful and pretty much ended after I had finished the tasks assigned by my supervisor.
Day 5 Today I arrived at work feeling excited and looking forward to whatever lay ahead. My supervisor informed me that today I would work with the HR Assistants on distributing the questionnaires an collecting them from the employees. Consequently, I spent the rest of the day offering questionnaires to employees that were basically in groups of 30 to 50. During this period we also had the chance to interact with some of the workers. This allowed me to get a true feeling of how the employees feel about their employer and what they think about the HR department. I happened to learn that many of the employees felt that the HR department could to more to minimize the endless procedures that they were forced to follow whenever they felt that they had to address issues concerning the HR department.
Nonetheless, it was also clear that the employees enjoyed working for their employer and that they looked forward to brighter days working for Sara Group Holdings. They also jokingly requested for pay rises, saying that money is never enough. We ended the day soon after collecting all the questionnaires.
1. What new knowledge or skill did you learn on the internship this week?
This week I learnt that communication is a valuable aspect of the HR department and one that must always be inculcated in all HR activities This is often because people like to feel that they have been included in the making of decisions that affect them personally. Consequently, it makes good business and logical sense to consult with the employees in matters such as organizational efficiency that affect them directly.
2. What have you learned in the university that you applied on the internship? In the university I learnt that communication is important within an organization. This is not only because communication allows departmental heads to work in synchrony, but it also allows employees to become a part of the organization. This integration helps employers bond with the employees and the organization’s leaders. This bonding fosters cohesion and unity within the HR department which eventually translates into greater success. I made sure that I communicated with the workers directly as much as I could in order to foster cohesion and also to understand their standpoint on the matter.
3. List any difficulties, mistakes, pleasant or unpleasant experiences that occurred this week. What did you do to correct your mistake (s)? This week I felt a little bored that I was constantly being assigned tasks that involve filing. I was looking forward to more interactive tasks that would allow me to really implement what I had learnt at the university. However, I reminded myself of what our professors had always told us-that HR is not always a walk in the park, and that both pleasant and unpleasant tasks had to be completed.
4. On what skill or question could you use help in performing your internship responsibilities better? I believe that I would perform better if I could learn to tame my expectations. This would allow me to look forward to both pleasant and unpleasant tasks that are involved in HR.
5. What interesting or challenging experience did you have with your fellow workers or site supervisor? It was challenging to see eye to eye with my fellow workers on the best distribution strategy to use in distributing the questionnaires. Nonetheless, we managed to find common ground later on in the day. It was also very interesting to have direct interactions with some of the employees, which is a critical part of HR.

Day and Date: Description of activity
Day 1 This day was a normal day that was filled with photocopying documents and filing paperwork. The HR Assistant came to inspect our work and was pleased that we were following the set procedures and that we observe due diligence when it came to filing paperwork. The rest of the day was uneventful.
Day 2 Today was one of the most interesting days of our internship program so far. We were treated to a fully paid tour around the city. The tour included visiting famous tourist highlights as well as enjoying a luxurious lunch at a top city hotel. I was informed that Sara Group Holdings usually holds such tours for its interns in order to allow them to bond and develop cohesion, which is a critical part of working for them. This was a memorable trip that rejuvenated our drive and desire to achieve all that we could.
Day 3 Today all the interns were excited to be back at work, I included. Although we arrived early to find endless filing and paperwork waiting for us, we were excited nonetheless. This excitement was channeled into our work and in a record time we had completed our assigned tasks two hours before our clocking time.
Day 4 Today we were tasked with processing the work and residence permits for the employees. Seeing that many of these employees came from different nations, the process was tedious. Nonetheless, it was also interesting to learn the intricacies of Saudi Labor Law. This work proved to be too much and had to be carried forward to the next day.
Day 5 Today we finished up on processing the residence and work permits for the employees, which are all filed at the same time. As soon as we had finished processing and filing the permits, the supervisor instructed us to take the rest of the day off.
1. What new knowledge or skill did you learn on the internship this week? This week I gained new knowledge on the intricacies of Saudi Labor Law. It allowed me to appreciate the intricacies that international workers are subjected to. Additionally, it also allowed me to build my knowledge on what corporate entities must accomplish in order to employ international workers.
2. What have you learned in the university that you applied on the internship? This week I understood what labor law is all about. While I had learned about it at the university, the task of processing and filing residence and work permits allowed me to understand labor law effectively.
3. List any difficulties, mistakes, pleasant or unpleasant experiences that occurred this week. What did you do to correct your mistake (s)? This week I believe that I did not make any mistake, seeing that I followed regulations and procedures.
4. On what skill or question could you use help in performing your internship responsibilities better? I believe that the question of labor law requires more understanding. Although I completed the tasks given, I believe that I need to read more on the matter in order to understand labor law better.
5. What interesting or challenging experience did you have with your fellow workers or site supervisor? I found it very interesting to tour the city this week. The different tourist spots were amazing and allowed us to take a break from normal routine. It also rejuvenated us for the tasks ahead.

Day and Date: Description of activity
Day 1 Today I arrived early at work and as usual we went to the departmental meeting that the HR holds on Monday mornings. The main agenda today was the questionnaires that we had collected from the employees in all departments of Sara Group Holdings in Saudi Arabia. After the meeting we were asked to take the questionnaires and compile the results from each question. This would allow the department to get concrete data in terms of figures on what the majority of the employees felt about the questions that they were asked. This work was taxing, and it did not spare me a moment’s breathe! We spent the whole day compiling this information and computing it but we still did not finish the task. We departed for home and resolved to finish up the following day.
Day 2 We finished up on the computation of the data and prepared a brief report on the data collected from every question. This report was presented by the HR Assistant to the supervisor who was ecstatic at the work that I and my fellow interns had done under the supervision of the HR Assistant.
The supervisor was so impressed that he told us to take the rest of the day off as a reward for our hard work. I could never have been happier.
Day 3 Today the whole of the HR department was stuck in a meeting for the better part of the day. During the morning session, the departmental heads, the supervisor and the HR Assistants held a lengthy meeting whose details we did not know. Nonetheless, after the lunch break, the rest of the department, including the interns joined the meeting. During this meeting we offered suggestions on what we thought would drive the department forward in accomplishing the goals and targets that they had set in line with the information that they had received from the employees. After we had offered our suggestions, we left the meeting and returned to our pen. Here we deliberated further as interns on what we thought Sara Group Holdings should do. After this we left and went back home.
Day 4 Today I must admit that I was reminded that HR involves both pleasant an unpleasant tasks. After the roller coaster that was the offering of questionnaires and attending HR meetings, we returned to normal filing. We spent the rest of the day filing paperwork for employees in the appropriate records sections.
Day 5 Today I spent the whole of the morning doing filing. It was normal boring work that had to completed, to be honest. Nonetheless, in the afternoon, the supervisor asked to meet all the interns at his office. He talked to us and basically wanted to find out how we were doing as interns. He also seemed interested in finding out what we thought Sara Group Holdings should do to improve organizational efficiency. Seeing that most interns believed that the customer base of Sara Group was young and up-to-date with technology, they believed that digitizing the entire Sara Group structure would help to improve efficiency. This digitization process also included digitizing employee records and eliminating the use of paperwork.
1. What new knowledge or skill did you learn on the internship this week? This week I learnt the art of holding meetings and working as a team. On the matter of chairing meetings, based on how I saw Mr. Kazem handling the meeting, I learned that in order to hold a successful meeting that bears fruit, it is necessary to have a structure and precise agenda. In this way, the meeting can avoid digressions and focus on the agenda. Secondly, when we were asked to work as interns in preparing the brief report, I learnt the value of teamwork in the HR department. This teamwork not only made the work easier, it allowed us to bond as interns.
2. What have you learned in the university that you applied on the internship? I was able to apply the concepts of teamwork that we learnt at the university when I worked with my fellow interns. This allowed me to develop my social and interactive skills.
3. List any difficulties, mistakes, pleasant or unpleasant experiences that occurred this week. What did you do to correct your mistake (s)? This week seemed to be the best I have had so far. I was upbeat and did not see any challenge in what I was doing. I was even able to maintain my composure when we returned to filing paperwork.
4. On what skill or question could you use help in performing your internship responsibilities better? While I managed to improve my social and interactive skills, I think that I would also do better in direct interactions with fellow interns and other employees.
5. What interesting or challenging experience did you have with your fellow workers or site supervisor? This week was the best that I have had so far, and funny enough I did not experience any challenges with my fellow workers or my supervisor.

document in detail the activities in which you participated, specific incidents you observed daily to enable you in answering the attached questions.
Day and Date: Description of activity
Day 1 Monday morning was a normal morning like any other. As expected, after the usual meeting, we were assigned filing tasks just like we had the previous week. This task took up the rest of the day, particular seeing that we were also assigned the task of using the software that we had learnt to use a few weeks earlier.
Day 2 Today we were assigned two specific tasks. First, we were instructed to collect all the attendance data in the organization. This data was then scheduled to be keyed into the computer, something that proved to be a headache on its own. Seeing that some part of the data was missing, we had to comb through endless paperwork to find the misplaced sheets for attendance data. After this, we were asked to prepare a brief report of what we had accomplished. This brief report was presented to the supervisor. This wrapped up our day.
Day 3 After collecting and compiling the attendance data successfully yesterday, today we were asked to collect and process the leave forms that the employees had duly filled. This proved to be a challenge in its own right seeing that it was difficult to schedule leave for all the processed applications. This is because the supervisor had instructed us (interns) that the applications cannot all be processed if they will result in a staff shortage that can impair the carrying out of tasks and duties within the organization. This task was the most challenging that we had ever encountered and at some point some interns even wished that they were filing paperwork instead. Luckily, the HR Assistant was willing to help us and we managed to finish the work just in time to go home.
Day 4 Today we returned to normal filing of paperwork. However, while we were carrying out these tasks, I could not help but notice that some of the interns had begun expressing their dissatisfaction over the large workloads that we had to contend with on a regular basis. One of the interns was particularly incensed that she left work dead-beat tired every day. After she had rave and ranted for a few minutes, a fellow intern asked her to erase the mental notion that HR was an easy job that was not demanding. This reminded me that indeed HR was a job that demands commitment and dedication. Even though this did not resonate with the incensed intern, it resonated clearly with me.
Day 5 Today we continued with the filing work that we had been assigned before. This was particularly the filing of the paperwork from the leave applications and attendance data. This was plenty of work but we managed to work as a team and complete the tasks in time to begin the weekend on a high note.
1. What new knowledge or skill did you learn on the internship this week? Today I was reminded that working in HR demands commitment and dedication in order for one to succeed. This is very much contrary to the belief that HR s easy and that it does not demand long hours. This was particularly because while interns left somewhat early, our supervisor and other leaders in the HR department always remained behind at work.
2. What have you learned in the university that you applied on the internship? This week I learned how to award urgency to different issues that the HR department faced. This was particularly so in the matter of processing leave applications. While we felt that every employee deserved to go on leave whenever they wanted, we also appreciated the fact that not everyone can have what they want and that urgency comes in different levels.
3. List any difficulties, mistakes, pleasant or unpleasant experiences that occurred this week. What did you do to correct your mistake (s)? I made the mistake of processing a leave application that was filed later than the deadline. This is because I assumed that regardless of the deadline, the collected forms should be processed. Nonetheless, I admitted my mistake to the HR Assistant who corrected the matter and asked me to be more careful next time.
4. On what skill or question could you use help in performing your internship responsibilities better? I could use more help in holding leadership. This is because I noticed that while we were working as a team, some members of the group worked very little. Being the team leader during some of the tasks, when I confronted such interns they insisted that I was being biased. I could use more help on the matter of addressing such issues.
5. What interesting or challenging experience did you have with your fellow workers or site supervisor? It was very interesting to be a group leader during one of the tasks assigned this week. It allowed me to develop a more in-depth understanding of leadership in HR.

Day and Date: Description of activity
Day 1 Today the departmental meeting was longer than usual. This was because the departmental heads had decided that in order to address the issues raised by the employees through the questionnaires they would start the digitization process of the HR department. In order to achieve this, all the employees would be required to register on the company database and to provide their personal information. This process would be followed by the issuance of new biometric staff identification cards that would allow them to complete many processes on the company server. The logistical measures had been met and the process was set to officially start the next day.
After the meeting, we returned to the cornerstone of our internship program-filing paperwork. This was to be some of the final filing that the organization would have. This took up the rest of the day.
Day 2 Today the registration process began officially. The registration of the employees was scheduled to happen in phases. These phases were primarily ordered according to departments. This allowed the process to be much easier. We spent the whole day helping the HR Assistants in the registration processes. This allowed us to work as a team and to accomplish what we had set out to achieve.
After we had finished the final department, we held a brief meeting where we updated the departmental heads on the progress before we departed for home.
Day 3 Unlike yesterday, today I was not part of the team that accompanied the HR Assistants on conducting the registration process. I, along with other interns, was assigned the task of digitizing some of the paperwork that had already been filed. This was a length process and we knew full well that it would not happen in a few days. Nonetheless, we embarked on the task at hand with much excitement that Sara Group was finally embracing some changes that would improve organizational efficiency.
Day 4 Today we continued with the digitization process and we were joined by the rest of the interns, seeing that the registration process had been completed. We continued working on the files one by one and while the routine seemed slightly boring, we were happy that some of our suggestions had been heard. I, however, felt sad that tomorrow would be my final day as an intern, seeing that I would be completing the eight week program.
Day 5 Today I finished my internship program. While I arrived at work early to do as much as I could, I soon learned that the supervisor had something else in mind. At around four in the afternoon, the rest of the interns accompanied by the supervisor and some HR Assistants held a small party for me. They bought a cake to celebrate the completion of my internship. After this party, I left for home confident that I had done my best to improve efficiency in Sara Group Holdings.
1. What new knowledge or skill did you learn on the internship this week? This week I learned that in order to achieve full efficiency, duties must be divided amongst the workforce. This allows the entire HR department to function as a unit seeing that they all have the same goals. I also learned that in order to effect magnanimous change, one needs only to begin with a simple action.
2. What have you learned in the university that you applied on the internship? This week the lesson on teamwork was reiterated. I was reminded that teamwork is the greatest asset that any HR department can have. This is because in order to achieve the different goals and targets, one must embrace teamwork.
3. List any difficulties, mistakes, pleasant or unpleasant experiences that occurred this week. What did you do to correct your mistake (s)? This week was a very interesting week seeing that I managed to learn a lot and to take part in a bevy of activities that reminded me why I decided to study HR in the first place.
4. On what skill or question could you use help in performing your internship responsibilities better? I would love to improve my leadership abilities in order to work better towards attaining a leadership position in HR later on in my life.
5. What interesting or challenging experience did you have with your fellow workers or site supervisor? It was very interesting to witness change in motion. This allowed me to be a part of a change process that is bound to make the organization better that it was before. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful process.

Conclusions and Recommendations
Efficiency is essential to the success of the organization. It is necessary that the HR department is geared towards achieving efficiency. However, efficiency is not merely achieved by desiring to be more efficient. It is a task that must be undertaken with great dedication and commitment. This demands that the organization eliminate any structures that are bound to cost the organization too much time and money. In the case of Sara Group, this, I believe, could be achieved by digitizing the record keeping process. In the case of filing permits and making leave applications, Sara Group employees spent a lot of time making such applications due to the long processes involved. The digitization process allows fast applications to be made, a feat which makes it easier to focus more of their time on working. In order to increase the efficiency even further, it would be advisable to allow all employees to make such applications online seeing that this would allow them to do this at the comfort of their homes, thus allowing them to focus more on working while they are at work.
